Conditioned Happiness

If I just reach this point then I’ll be happy.

If I can just achieve this income then I’ll be happy.

I’ll just achieve this milestone, house, number, level of Secruity, then I’ll be happy.

Often it doesn’t seem like we’ve said it as clearly as that but all of the signs of it are there.Distant with family and friendShort temperedNot doing fun stuff just to do it Energy slumpsLate nights

The mind is stuck in survival mode.

The money may have come, the success, the milestone, the house may have arrived but the happiness didn’t.

Sure, things might seem more secure now but the happiness is still attached to the next achievement over the next hill.

The brain has been conditioned. It has built a habit of ignoring emotion and the result is somewhere between numbness and overwhelm.

All the money, the milestones, the house, the holidays are all great, achieve all the things you want.

But you’ll never have a life you love while doing things you loath.
